Lawson Software Adds PatientSafe Solutions as Channel Partner for Lawson Cloverleaf Solution

PatientSafe adds Lawson Cloverleaf to its healthcare-specific offerings to help hospitals improve efficiency and the flow of patient data

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov 17, 2010 -- Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced it has entered into a channel partner agreement with PatientSafe Solutions, Inc. (PatientSafe), allowing PatientSafe to re-sell the Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Suite. Lawson Cloverleaf is an integration engine for healthcare organizations that helps facilitate the movement of data through disparate systems within and outside of a healthcare enterprise. Under this new partner agreement, PatientSafe will install and use Lawson Cloverleaf with its product, the PatientTouch(TM) System,to help ensure patient safety and quality within hospitals. This partner relationship will help streamline healthcare data interfaces with existing hospital systems and allow both PatientSafe and Lawson to focus on delivering this combined solution to hospitals across the United States.

PatientSafe Solutions, based in San Diego, Calif., provides wireless software solutions for the healthcare industry that help drive improved patient safety and quality at the point of care. PatientSafe currently serves approximately 90 healthcare organizations, and through partnering with Lawson to re-sell the Cloverleaf Integration Suite, PatientSafe will add an interface capability that will help improve the flow of data across multiple data systems without having to design or build interfaces for individual customers.

"We recognize the need to work with a leader in the healthcare industry and one that understands the complexity of moving data through multiple software and data systems," said Shawn Orr, vice president, Sales Operations for PatientSafe Solutions. "Our two companies understand hospital workflows and the complex ways that data is needed and shared across the enterprise. Working with Lawson is a natural fit, and this will allow us to bring even greater value and efficiency to the hospitals we serve. Ultimately, it's all about improving what happens at the point of care by bringing greater efficiency and accuracy in how data moves through the enterprise."

The Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Suite is used in thousands of healthcare facilities, including 40 percent of all large integrated delivery networks and approximately one-third of all hospitals in North America. It helps hospitals and healthcare organizations share clinical, financial and administrative data with greater ease and security. The suite allows hospitals to simplify development of interfaces between hospital applications, databases and external systems through an intuitive user interface. By helping to streamline the flow of data through multiple systems, Cloverleaf helps improve healthcare efficiency and helps hospitals respond faster to clinical and regulatory changes in the industry.

"Efficient and effective flow of clinical, financial and administrative data is key for healthcare organizations as they strive to provide exceptional patient care," said Jim Catalino, general manager for Lawson Healthcare. "And with ever-increasing regulation and oversight, healthcare providers need assurance that data across their enterprise is accurate and accessible to the right people at the right time. Cloverleaf provides tools that can help healthcare organizations address these core business and patient care needs. By working with PatientSafe Solutions, we can deliver this value to even more hospitals and providers across the country."
