Latest version of the enterprise management system to help ceramics manufacturer enhance business efficiency and customer support

London, Aug. 22, 2011 – Lawson Software, an Infor affiliate, today announced that Dominó Indústrias Cerámicas S.A. in Portugal will implement the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. The contract was secured through Lawson channel partner New Link Solutions S.A (NLS).

 

Dominó will replace aging business software with a new system from Lawson and use it to help manage core elements of its business, including financial accounting and controlling, product data management, maintenance management, supply chain execution, supply chain planning, and multi-site operations. The Lawson system will be implemented at Dominó’s production site in Portugal and the company plans to implement the system in a manner that will help improve key business processes with the goal of gaining and maintaining a competitive edge in the ceramics manufacturing market.

 

Dominó, based in Condeixa-a-Nova, Portugal, started its operation in 1990. Located in Coimbra, the heart of the Portuguese ceramics industry, the company initially focused on the manufacturing of stoneware floor tiles and expanded its product line to include wall tiles and hardline glazed porcelain floor tiles over the past 21 years. The company is committed to ongoing technology innovation to support the company’s primary goal to produce and sell high-quality products for the construction materials industry. Dominó maintains the highest quality control processes, starting with the selection of raw material and ending with the finished product delivered to ceramics retailers.

 

The enterprise software evaluation project was driven by Lawson partner NLS. With more than a decade of experience in the IT market, NLS now has offices in Lisboa and Porto and has more than 150 consultants, including analysts and programmers. NLS aligns business strategies with the right products, services and technology solutions.
